History & Formation
Montana sapphires have been treasured since their discovery in the 1860s. The Yogo Gulch deposit produces some of the finest cornflower blue sapphires in the world, while the Missouri River deposits yield a rainbow of colors.
Care & Maintenance
Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners for included stones. Store separately to prevent scratching softer gemstones.
Collector Value
Montana sapphires are increasingly valuable due to their American origin and exceptional quality. Color-change varieties and clean stones command premium prices.
